When do I apply for uni accomodation?

Hi,

I have applied to Gloucestershire uni for paramedic science and I'm going to put them as my first choice. My course starts in January 2026 instead of September 2025 so I wondered how/when I should apply for accommodation since some students/courses will start in September on the same campus?

Hi @Emily_!?,

For a January 2026 start with accommodation during a September-start campus period, I think it's best for you to start applying as soon as you secured your offer. However, if the accommodation booking does not offer rooms for January intakes, and only lists September-intake rooms - I think you should contact Gloucestershire Uni accommodation office directly.

Explain your unique start date and ask about:

•

January intake housing options

•

Whether you can apply for accommodation now

•

Potential different application timelines for January starters

•

And check the uni's website for specific accommodation guidance for January intake students.

Hi there You should apply for accommodation at the University of Gloucestershire as soon as you firmly accept your offer. Since your course starts in January 2026, you can expect to move into accommodation around 17 January 2026, as indicated for paramedic students. Contact the university's accommodation office directly for confirmation and guidance to ensure availability alongside September starters.

i believe you can start applying for accommodation at uog from 1 july. you can contact accomodation support at this email [email protected]

As soon as you firmly accept your offer, try to apply for accommodation for a January start. If you can't find any that suit your start date, then give their admissions or accommodation team a call.
