I don't know which University to pick!

I need help choosing a university! I am planning on studying Economics at the following: University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt, Stirling, Glasgow, Strathclyde.

Until now, I had Heriot-Watt as my number one, with Stirling following second. However, I am now beginning to doubt myself.
My reasoning for Heriot-Watt being No. 1 is that it is relatively close (staying at home), there is no dissertation in year 4, and there is a nice small campus atmosphere.
However, now I don't know where to go, and I don't want to go to the wrong place. Can anyone help?

Is there any special reason you want to stay at home? Financial considerations?
Don't go to uni just because others do. Find out what fascinates you and follow your mind, your top choice will pop up.

Hey thanks for replying so quickly.
I definitely want to do Economics at uni because I am fascinated by it - I just don't know where out of these universities I have applied to.
The main reason for staying at home is purely because I don't want to pay for it when I can stay at home.

That's very compelling. There is no reason not going.
You still have time to think, why not apply to all five unis now? You can wait until June to decide on your firm and insurance. Just leave it now and oncentrate on your exam, you will have a few week to think over after rhe exam.

Hi,

Each of those universities has a lot to offer, so definitely apply to your top choices!
Having completed my undergraduate degree and currently pursuing my master's at Heriot-Watt, I can definitely say my experience has been great. The campus is lovely, with plenty of outdoor spaces to walk, study, and participate in sports societies. The career prospects for the Economics programme are also impressive, with 85% of graduates employed 15 months after graduation. The university accommodation is very comfortable and offers a fantastic opportunity to meet other students. However, if you prefer to stay at home and live nearby, that works well too.

Best of luck with your applications!
