I am looking at doing a adult nursing degree at Derby university, starting September 2025. But I have previously started a non health related degree (started a history degree) but didn't finish it due to family illness and bereavement, and I got 2 years worth of tuition fee loan.

Would I be eligible for the full 3 years of tuition fee loan for a nursing degree in England having been at an English university for the history degree that I started?

Hi Anna,

Yes, Adult Nursing is a course which is an exception to previous study and equal level qualification rules, therefore you would be eligible for full support from SFE for the duration of the new eligible course. This is as long as you are not already registered in that field.
