Block teaching

Can someone explain in detail how block teaching works for a Psyc degree?

I understand there are 4 blocks of 7 weeks assigned to a particular module, and at the end of the block the assessment takes place. Does this mean there are no exams? When does the last block finish?

Hey there 😁

Yes, that’s correct! Each academic year is divided into four blocks. During each block, you’ll have one or two modules, and at the end, there will be assessments. These can vary depending on the module. They might be a portfolio, essay, report, project, or exam. The great thing is that there’s no big summer exam. Once you complete your final block and pass the assessments, you’re free for the summer.

While the academic calendar may vary slightly each year, the final block typically wraps up around the beginning of June.

I hope it will be helpful 💪 Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions 😉 You can also chat with me or other students directly through The Ambassador Platform.
