I’m unhappy in my sixth form and want to start over

I’m in my first year of sixth form and as of January have become very unhappy as I am not taking subjects that align with my dream career. I have thought about changing subjects but I am also unhappy with the college I am at in general, I don’t think it’s suits me very well. I have done some research and found a college which specialises in the area that I hope to go into in the future, so I see no point in staying at my current sixth form and waiting until university to pursue this. I would like to apply to this other sixth form for this September, I have no idea if I could get in but I did do well at GCSEs, also unsure if they would accept me, I’d be a year older. And if I did get an offer I’m confused if I should stay in the current college until the summer holidays, or if I dropped out am I allowed to just not be in education for the next sixth months until then. This is an idea I only thought of recently and I really wish I knew all of this last year while I was still in secondary. But I really feel drawn to this other sixth form and feel that the course is right for me over the one I am in right now, I’m just unhappy with it. Help!!!

You absolutely can drop out and apply to go to college for this September. i know many people who have done this, and currently got a friend doing this rn. Most schools accept, as there technically is not an age requirement for college. Hey, they might even take you in now, so you can be familiar with the course, and then have you actually attend in September. seen that too.
In the meantime, if you decide to drop out, id definitely do some pre course learning of whatever A Levels you want to do, and be extra ready for if you get accepted to go in September.
Hope everything goes well and you do your dream courses!

Definitely see if you could transfer over to the other sixth form. If not you have the college to fall back on
