btec level 3 work experience.

i am currently studying btec level 3 in applied science. following a parents evening tonight, i have learnt that my college does NOT offer work experience placements, and that for students to gain work experience, they must find it themselves.

i am looking to build up my portfolio for UCAS as much as possible, so wanted to gain some work experience either in my first year of this course or within year 2 next year.

my future chosen career is a clinical-trials coordinator, and i am looking to study biomedical science at uni. i have contacted Quotient Sciences in ruddington to not gain a response. does anyone know of work experience opportunities either within the biology/biomedical science/clinical trials field within nottingham or derby (local to me)

i am just simply looking to gain knowledge/an understanding of how a company within my chosen field operates, and the tasks the employees do on a day to day basis.

definitely contact them again - by phone maybe. I know of 2 placements that worked out when requests were initially ignored. A third came back with a negative but constructive advice - good luck...
