Bath University Engineering grades

I got my grades last summer and i’m currently applying to university for this september. I was looking at Bath for some type of civil engineering but the entry requirements are A*AA and i got AAA. I was wondering if anyone knew how likely it would be that I would get an offer being slightly off the grade requirements. Thank you in advance.

Just wondering how you got on please? In a similar situation but with predicted rather than actual grades

Hi there,

Thanks for posting and its great to hear you're interested in Bath.

Is it also Civil Engineering that you are interested in?

Whilst its impossible to tell whether or not someone will get an offer with predicted grades just below the requirements, I would still advise that it is worth applying if you are keen on the uni. From an admissions point of view, Civil Engineering is not as popular as some of our bigger courses such as Mechanical Engineering and so although no guarantees, there is a chance you can still receive an offer narrowly missing our asking grades if the rest of your application is strong.

We always recommend applying to one or two aspirational choices with asking grades a little above your predicted grades alongside your two or three more realistic choices and insurance choice, so aiming for something asking for A*AA when you have AAA predicted is perfectly reasonable and will give you something to aim for.

Hoping this helps - any more questions please do let us know 🙂
