Advice For Oxford Economics & Management

To anyone who has received an offer for Oxford Economics & Management, or is currently / has previously studied this course.

If you have any advice you think would be particularly valuable to a future applicant, I would appreciate if you could share it in this thread. It would be really helpful and much appreciated.

For example, what you mentioned in your personal statement, any super-curriculars you took part in which you feel strengthened your application, etc.

Thank you.

If you would be happy to share your A-Level subjects & grades, as well as GCSE grades, this would be interesting to see and would give somewhat of an idea of what some offer holders achieved.

Hi, E&M offer holder here, I achieved 9999999998 in my GCSES and predicted A*A*A*A* in Maths, Econ, History, FM, 71 on the TSA (slighlty below offer holder average but so happy with it considering I thought I bombed it on the day), honestly I don't think my PS was super strong and pretty sure my interviewers didn't even look at it but try and get a sense of what area of econ really interests you by reading books, doing MOOCs as its really helpful in developing interest in subj in general and gaining confidence for interviews. Also try to keep up to date on current affairs. My advice is to have a solid TSA score (I was averaging quite a bit higher in my practises) but don't worry about starting revision super early, I only started around end of August, but balancing rev w ucas application was tough for some as they are around the same time. good luck with everything!
