If I'm correct I think the scholarship committee met last week and discussed scholarship offerings. I know that if you applied by the Jan deadline you will 100% be considered for a scholarship but I still haven't heard anything re mine

Has anyone emailed the department to ask about nomination and ranking? I just wonder whether they will be willing to tell us.
If someone did and got a reply, I will do this tomorrow😥 Can't wait anymore😥

do you know if being nominated for the Jardine-Oxford scholarship has any effect on being considered for the department scholarships?

I don’t exactly know how being nominated to the scholarship affects the chances of being considered for departmental scholarships, but our administered assured us that they are doing their best to match each one of us with a funding.

No, I know someone who was nominated for Jardine got another funding before Jardine interview, so she turned down the interview invitation.
btw, I am know thinking that the department were just nominating every Asian student to apply to Jardine 🤣
3 students here, and I found 1 Chinese student on Redbook nominated by the Dept of Biology too. So there are at least 4 students 🤣

Hopefully this means we can hear something by next week! Do you mind me asking how you heard about this btw?

Hi guys. Got an email today letting me know I received funding for my DPhil, covered by the Clarendon award! The department informed me directly, and I was sent the official offer by Clarendon themselves a bit later. I will say, it seems like my supervisor found out at the same time as me when the department sent the email.
I really hope everyone else can get a positive outcome for their funding soon!
