Rejected from King’s PPE

I heard that with A*AA predictions, you would basically be guaranteed an offer at King’s for PPE. I got rejected with predicted A*AAB and was told that it was because my application was not as competitive as others, is anyone else applying/receiving offers for PPE and does anyone know why I may have been rejected?

Do Kings have a preference for any particular A level subjects? Do you have the required GCSE maths grade?

Who told you that you would be guaranteed an offer? The UCAS stats show only 3/5 (60%) of applicants get an offer.

they don't have a preference for certain subjects. Using the calculator which uses data of past offers, A*AA grades have a 100% acceptance rate.

The acceptance rates by grades on UCAS are the proportion of offer holders who were accepted with those grades.

UCAS doesn’t provide offer rates by grades only the overall offer rate for all applicants (the “3 in 5” rate).

Obviously I'm not an expert but it sounds like your grades are acceptable but maybe it was your personal statement that didn't have enough passion. Just my thoughts but don't be disheartened and keep trying

I got A*A*A and was rejected too 😭😭
Kind of shocked and I asked for feedback. My friend got an offer with A*AA?

My son was offered European politics from KCL today...but he applied for PPE. He will not take the offer, he didn't apply for European politics

Gosh, I'm sorry to hear that, European Politics is completely different to PPE! Not an acceptable alternative to PPE, have you heard back from UCL yet? My son is still waiting
