Hi, I’m really struggling to decide which uni as they are so different yet both have so many positives?! Does anyone recommend one more than the other ?!?
What course do you want to study? Do they offer options in your preferred areas for your course? Do you prefer a smaller town/city vs a bigger one? How are they in terms of connections to your home if you're planning to go home during holidays? How do costs of living and rent compare in each? Does one offer specific facilities/societies/similar that you really want which the other one doesn't?
Try asking yourself these and similar questions and start making a list of which of the two tick which boxes for you

Personally I chose Durham over Manchester because I preferred the feel of the surrounding area around the University, and Durham seemed to me to be a bit more peaceful which I prefer.
