Mechanical Engineering at Edinburgh - To recent and current students
Lots of recent sleepless nights on this one. As with everyone else, I was concerned about the low student satisfaction (around 50%). Also noticed that the course data for it was taken from only 30 students from the National student survey (correct me if I’m wrong about this). Not sure if that’s because of a lower amount of students in the final year or not - surely it can’t be only 30 right?
Plus, all the threads talking about how unorganised the engineering faculty is are decades old.
So if any recent or current students are willing to share their experiences with the University of Edinburgh, it would be extremely appreciated.
Other than that I love the city, modules, campus and clubs!
TLDR: Student satisfaction low. Posts discussing mech eng are years old. Worth accepting offer for UoE?
