Access UCL - what should be the predicted grades to be eligible to even apply?

Hi,
My kids is planning to apply for UCL. She fits the eligibility for Access UCL. Now, the confusion is can she choose a course by reduced grades as per Access UCL or should have predicted grades to match full entry grades to even apply even though she is eligible by Access UCL?
E.g. Grade requirements for the course is AAA. Access UCL entry is ABB. Can her predicted grades be ABB while applying? Or, should have AAA?
Thanks in advance for your clarifications.

The former...

"Contextual entry requirements apply to both predicted grades (for applicants who are yet to complete their qualifications) and to actual grades (for applicants who have already achieved their qualifications)."

Hi,
Thanks for your quick response. Pardon my ignorance. I've already read that link you shared and still don't understand it clearly. Based on my daughter's predicted grades that is lower than the actual entry grades requirements but eligible under Access UCL, can she apply?

I’d say she can apply, I’ve had similar case and applied for different unis and received offers - she should defo apply and at the end of the day it’s only 1/5 !

If her predicted grades are in line with the contextual offer then she should be fine to apply

It might help if you say what her predicted grades are and what subject she wants to apply to. Note that subject requirements will normally still apply i believe (e.g. maths and physics at A-level or equivalent for a physics degree).

Thanks to all for your responses. I'll instruct my daughter to do so.

Is that the engineering and architectural design course? If so then it looks like there are no subject requirements beyond GCSE Maths/Physics requirements if not taking those to A-level, and since her predicted grades exceed the contextual offer I imagine she would be competitive

That said it does require a creative portfolio and that's probably a harder aspect to quantify! But gradewise I don't see any issues :h:

As I said, A-level wise sounds like a good fit

Obviously the portfolio is always a question mark, so I'd say focus on that!
