Best laptop for uni

Heyy, so u Will be applying for a business course for uni, and I have needed a laptop for a while now, I literally only have my phone to be able to do school work 😭😭😭, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good working laptop that is on the cheaper side.it doesn't have to do much, but I would want I to have some power and a good lasting battery life, and something that wouldnt explode for loading up Sibelius either. THANKYOUUU

Hii - can we have a bit more info please? What's your budget? Are you picky on windows/mac? How big (screen size)/heavy should it be?

Answering these questions will help tremendously

I'm not entirely picky on the size (probably not the size of a Chromebook because I wouldn't be able to see anything I was doing). And I genuinely wouldn't mind what type. I mean ideally I would want to get a Mac so I could get logic pro X, but I don't think anyone is going to buy me a £2000 laptop for me 😭😭. I just need something that will support some programmes and has good speakers.

I think budget wise up to £600 maybe £800, but nothing more really
A used HP 840 G8 would be a great laptop. Aim to buy a fully working one for about £200 from ebay.

Another HP 840 G8

If you want to go mega fancy on the laptop, with the downsides being less portability and a higher purchase cost, about £600 would get you a used Dell Precision 7560 from ebay.
