Writing Books

So, since I was about 14 I began and still like writing books. As an autistic person with the ability to turn my toys into stories inside my head I tried to turn one of those stories into a real thing. I'm many drafts down but I've noticed that people seem to think it's a bad idea.

People tell me it's hard to get published and I won't be famous. But I thought about Amazon kdp for self publishing and I didn't want to make it big. I only want to do it as a hobby with a pen name and if self publishing doesn't work what about selling on a market stall.

Are the deliberately trying to rid my hobbies even though that it's one of the only things I can actually do since I left school last year? What should I do?

i think writing books is a great hobby, i myself have the same interest. i think when ppl say its not a good idea ig they think that u wanna become a full time author or sm, but i wouldn't recommend that unless ur a rlly good writer. but as a hobby that sounds fantastic! ive seen lots of ppl on pintrest publishing thro amazon, so maybe check that out. having published a book would also be interesting to bring up in an interview too! follow ur passion! and defo tell me when ur book gets published. 😄 good luck!

I really enjoy writing too. I do want to publish, but it’s not something I would do full time. It’s more fun as a hobby.
