Can a uni reject you due to having exceeding grades?

I'm predicted ABB in chem bio and psych and applying for pharmacy with a foundation year as most universities require 6s in maths/English and I dont have that and I feel like I'm better of doing a foundation year to settle in uni.

in general foundation years requires CCC
but I've seen ppl say u could get rejected is that true?

I have never heard of anyone being rejected.

Not rejected per se, but if the uni thinks you'll do better on the main course then they will make you an alternative offer for the main course.

Yes, if they think you would be better suited to the main degree, and they switch you to that.
This is to avoid 'wasting' Foundation course offers to those who realistically wont need one.
Or of course, if its a widening participation course with specific criteria about low grade requirements.

Btw, if you think you are not yet ready to 'settle into Uni' then I'd suggest you apply for a deferred place on the main degree and just take a gap year. A Foundation course isnt going to help you adjust any more easily, and if anything an over qualified student will just get bored very quickly.
