Why did he pull a 180 ?

I was talking to a man for some months we got off to a crazy start lots of disagreements. I got fed up and removed myself and he blew up my phone called me from different numbers, left voicemails telling me he was sorry to give him another chance. After that it was still him not giving me what I needed and wanted, not making an effort yet claiming he wanted me.

Recently we had a discussion and we both tried to end things, he kept making excuses saying the ball was in my court and that it was me ending things with him etc. He told me to think about what I really wanted from this, cause he already knows what he wants and it’s me. My dumbass still wanted to give things a go even though I know he isn’t the one for me. After I sent him a text telling him I wanted to work things out as well…. He completely pulled a 180 and started ignoring me for days? I eventually reached out and asked him why he was ignoring me and he replied saying “I’m not ignoring you I just haven’t responded yet” …….. He then told me he would get back to me later that day…. It’s been silent on his end since then? What was the whole point of him wanting me to communicate that with him, if he was just going to pull away ?

It’s like he wanted to bruise my ego, it’s my fault for even still entertaining the whole situation when I clearly deserved better. Yet this man basically tracked me down from the beginning reaching out to me when I didn’t respond, finally gave him a chance and it’s been a horrible experience the whole time.. I’m ready to move on….

Any advice ?

If you want to end you say it's over and block him; why is that so difficult? You're just getting a taste of your own medicine, and if the pair of you are this petty to each other you are better off apart.

Because it seems that's all he's fit for pulling.

It sounds like he wanted the gratification of knowing you want him, more than anything more meaningful. I'm sorry this has happened, he sounds like a nasty piece of work. At least you've got a clear way forward now.
