Has anyone applied to the university of salford, been accepted but then deferred there offer for the next year? I'm going to have to request to defer and im curious how they are about deferrals/how they have been with other who have deferred

Call Salford admissions on Monday and ask if it is possible for your course.

Deferrals often depend on your course - for most courses we're able to support deferal requests, but its definitely best to give us a call and speak to our admissions team when our phone lines open at 10am today. You'd have to already have all of your grades to defer, so if you're still waiting on some to come in in the summer, you'd need to wait until then to begin the process. Its worth still calling to speak with our admissions team though - that way, they can review your actual application and give you more specific info than I can here 😊 just for ease - their number is 0161 295 4545!
From a more human, less applications side of things - we're perfectly fine with students who choose to defer, and you won't be seen any differently to non deferring students. Lots of students choose to defer for lots of reasons, so its definitely not an uncommon thing! The only thing to be aware of is that you'll need to apply for student finance (if you're using it) the March (ish) time before you're due to start with us, not this year. You'll also need to keep an eye out in late August/Early Sept of the year you're starting your course for your invite to register - thats the really important one, as it confirms you're a student with us!
Let me know if you have any queries - I can't advise on your actual application, but I'm quite familiar with the applications and deferrals process 😊
