Should I reapply to internships using the same candidate profile next year?

I applied to several finance firms internships during this recruiting cycle using my current email and candidate profile, but I unfortunately received rejections. Since then, I’ve decided to extend my degree at Warwick by an additional year abroad.

When reapplying next year, I’m concerned about whether firms might blacklist me thinking I lied last year.

Should I use the same email and candidate profile to apply for internships next year?

Would creating a new email and profile help me avoid the internal tracking systems?

Have I just been blacklisted and would never be able to break into finance now ?

Hi! A friend of mine's mother works in HR at Ernst and Young - this is only a one financial company but she said they had 5,000 applications for five placement roles. I know some others have more, but this is the ratio you are dealing with. It's far more likely to get rejections solely because of the numbers - you are not blacklisted - try to surf over the no's and keep going. You've got this!

There is no internal tracking system unless they have explicitly asked you to give permission for them to keep your details for those purposes. Once you've been rejected and that season of applications are over, your details will be deleted. GDPR.
