Nat5 Results and Uni

will my N5 results impact my chance of getting into uni? I’m thinking of going down a more humanities route anyway and i’m sitting 5 highers in S5 and teachers have predicted me AAAAC

I sat 6 n5 and my results were AAAADD
A modern studies
A business management
A english
A application of maths
D computing science
D chemistry
because I got 2Ds will this lower my chances of uni?

No, they don't care about your N5's unless they ask for something like a B at N5 English.
You should pretty easily get into uni if you get all A's/ all A's and a couple B's, anything that isn't stem at uni is pretty easy to get into, especially if you have a contextual.
Best of luck.

finance/law/economics are also just as hard as STEM subjects.

I hope you realise STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and MATHS both of which finance and economics fall under. Law as well though, the only outlier.

As I'm Scottish, I'm thinking Edinburgh, I know it the best out of any Scottish uni's and it is a nice place overall. Obviously medicine is very hard to get into though, so I'll take what I get.
How about you?

Only thing wrong with Edinburgh is I've heard its full of posh English people, like more than 90% English and international, so that might annoy me a bit 😅

true that, i got told they got a student cap for Scottish people, so they don't really give out offers to Scottish people.

For medicine, no, but for almost all other courses, yes 🤣
They need to let in a set number of Scots to medicine each year, more than both English and internationals combined, but medicine is only one course compared to the many others Edinburgh offers 😪
It is because the English and international students pay much more than the government does for Scots, so it is pretty obvious that they are going to go for the option with the most profit.
All in all though, it is probably worth it for the good experience, and it is only a small fraction of our lives in the end.
