DSA taxi allowance HELP!!!

Hi, I had DSA taxi allowance recommended on the NAR from the needs assessor. It is needed for taxis to nursing placement. I just got an email asking about evidence of DLA/PIP which I don't get and the assessor knew that I don't get these benefits. The assessor said it wouldn't be an issue. My question is are SFE now going to not pay the taxi allowance because I don't get these benefits. It was recommended on the NAR because of anxiety travelling on public transport. I was told I couldn't apply for the taxi allowance to student finance until I knew where my placement was. I didn't find that out until December the 17th. Placement started on 13th January. SFE told me to pay for the taxis and claim back the money. I am worried they are now not going to pay and I have been paying £60 a day for taxis. Their system is so slow that I will end up doing most of my placement before they decide they are going to pay. I am really annoyed as I could have got accommodation nearer my placement that the NHS learning support fund would have given me money to pay most of if I had known I might not get the taxi allowance.

Hi there,

Unfortunately the DSA Team is not on the Student Room and you would need to either call them or send them an email. They will respond to email in approximately 22 working days.
