Going from a biology to a law degree

I'm a first-year biology student in the UK, and I was wondering if it would be possible to go straight from a biology degree to a law degree. as I am interested in going into bioethics and medical law.

I've had a brief look at transferring via RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) within my university, but the Law programme won't accept it. I am not particularly bothered about staying within my university at this stage.

Should I give up on this idea since I am aware it's a bit far-fetched, or has anyone else been through a similar sort of situation and got any advice?

Why not do a PGDL?
You would normally need to reapply for first year entry to the different subject. That's certainly possible.

I can't see any situation where you'd be permitted to proceed directly to the second year of a law degree though, without having already completed your first degree completely and graduated.

As above you can just complete your first degree also then do the conversion course (and/or take the SQE directly if aiming to become a solicitor, although you may need a prep course that is equivalent to a conversion course anyway in that case).
