DofE skills - Hair and Beauty

I've been struggling with my skills choice . I am split between learning French or hair and beauty and I was wondering if anyone had done hair and beauty for their Bronze DofE and what they did during that time whether they just styles or cut hair .I've contacted the DofE about what to do for the 13 weeks and I didn't get a straight answer . Do you think I should just stick to French because I wanted to do hair and beauty because it seems an easier option.
