Kingston art foundation portfolio

Hi all

Kingston art foundation portfolio - Struggling a bit to understand what is required by the final requirement for the online portfolio:
Up to 10 images or a short film to show us something about you that we haven’t yet seen in your work. This could be 10 things that inspire you, things you collect, things you find hilarious...think about how this can be as specific to you and your interests as possible. These do not have to relate to art and design.”
Bit confused. Does this mean artworks you’ve created? Or is it more photos of things you’re into/things you like?
Any one able to help?
Thank you!

Hi @Artyfelix14

It sounds like to me that they want to see what you enjoy or are interested in outside of your art and design work, so this could be images of other things besides your work.

If I were you, I'd consider showing your other hobbies and interests, maybe a unique thing you enjoy or something interesting about yourself. Maybe @Kingston Reps could offer some more suggestions too. 🙂

Hope this helps.

Hi @Artyfelix14

Thank you for your questions!!

With a variety of applicants for our Foundation Diploma in Art, Design & Media Practice, what separates you is your personal interests and your driver behind your work. Creating visuals on your personality and your interests is exactly what they are looking for, for example a few of the pictures I would select are of sunsets and scenery I have seen while I go on runs (this inspires me!). I don't think it is necessary but I would probably get carried away and add a few comments to support these images and provide a story behind my thoughts.

I hope this helped and please let me know if you have any other questions!
