A level psychology

Hi, I am in year 13 studying A level psychology. However, I am struggling to remember all the A03 evaluation points and there is so much to remember. I have tried to learn general A03 but I’ve been told it is not specific enough. Does anyone have any tips and tricks when it comes to this ? I would appreciate any advice to be honest.

Hey i am in year 11 and i want to pursue pyschology for a-level, im not sure how it exactly works but i do this for eng lit quoations i read it out a couple times and use a whiteboard and do active recall and i remember about 95 percent if everything but everyones mind is different so it might not work for you personally, another teachnique is do mind maps ir you could put post it notes around your room and out the A03 points on there! Good luck!

Hello @AnyaZot!

From my experience doing A-level psychology, I found that practising writing the AO3 points out in full, flashcards, and the blurting method helped me a lot. Picking the evaluations that you find the most interesting and trying to relate them to examples that you already know about, e.g. from your own life, may also allow you to remember them better. This is because information gets encoded into our long-term memories semantically.

Hope this helped and good luck with your exams!

I’m also currently in year 13, i find AO3 points quite difficult too. my teacher provides us with essay plans for all the big marker assessments we do which is quite helpful tbh. however, when revising them, i normally create online flashcards on brainscape for each topic and also create my own essay plans!!! super helpful, also some another thing you can do is blurt it out to someone or even yourself, i feel like then you’ll be able to get the jist and have more confidence in your AO3. Hope this helped!
