Questions about getting into Medicine at Imperial

What are the general stats that got you guys into medicine at imperial such as the grades, subjects, extra curricular, super curricular, UCAT scores, etc.

What are things we should do to build our portfolio?

My current a levels are bio, chem, physics, and maths but I’m considering dropping physics right now as it may not be as important.

And is there any differences in admission rates between international and domestic students?

international students are less likely to get an offer post interview. extra curriculars and super curriculars info is irrelevant before getting an interview and someone telling you what they did is sort of irrelevant because it’s how you learn and reflect on things rather than what you have in fact done.

In terms of predicted A-levels having 3A* is no better than A*AA at Imperial. The UCAT cutoff this year was 3020, but for contextual it was lower (thank goodness!). In terms of other things to strengthen your interview, having a good insight into what being a doctor is like as well as being able to explore the scientific aspects of medicine are skills that will be vital for interviews.
