Hi @rueski

What are you thinking now it's a few months down the line?

It can be tricky choosing a course that feels right, especially if you have broad interests. I'd recommend really delving into the course content listed on university websites, and explore the modules on offer to see if these align with your passion. It can be helpful to read about the research taking place in the department too, as this will likely inform the topics covered.

If you're still interested in a masters that combines AI with business and management, then Royal Holloway's AI for Business MSc could be a good fit.

Of course, employability is also a priority. This course is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which means it is recognised in the industry, giving you a competitive edge when applying for jobs. A key feature of the course is the development of practical knowledge through an independent consultancy project. This gives you direct access to industry professionals and AI-driven management practices in a business setting, allowing you to gain the core skills that employers are looking for whilst building your network. You can read more about the course here.

If you want to find out more about studying a masters here at Royal Holloway, you can chat to Muhammed, a current postgraduate student who studies Msc Business Analytics, here

Hopefully this helps to show you what is on offer. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Best wishes,

Hey there,

It’s great that you’re exploring postgraduate options, especially since your background in Global Business Management gives you a strong foundation for several exciting pathways. At LSBU, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence could be a fantastic choice if you’re interested in how technology is transforming business strategy, decision-making, and innovation.

Our MSc Artificial Intelligence focuses on practical applications like data analysis, automation, and machine learning, preparing graduates for roles in AI consultancy, data strategy, and digital transformation. AI is growing rapidly across all sectors, and graduates with both business understanding and technical awareness are in high demand. Your background positions you well for leadership roles in tech-driven environments.

If you’re still deciding, I’d really encourage you to join us at our Open Day https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/study/study-at-lsbu/open-days on the 15th November. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit the campus, chat with academics about which course aligns best with your goals, and hear from current postgraduates about their experiences. It often helps to see the facilities and talk through your ideas in person as it can make your decision much clearer.

You can also chat directly with our current students on Unibuddy if you’d like to ask questions about their experiences or get insights into life at LSBU https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/student-life/chat

Hi @rueski,

I know your post was a little while ago, but I wanted to jump in because I’m a postgraduate ambassador at UAL, and we actually have a Master’s that might fit really nicely with what you’re describing.

If you're still interested in the mix of AI + business/management thinking, UAL’s MSc Data Science and AI at the Creative Computing Institute (CCI) could be worth a look. The course isn’t just about the technical side of AI, and there’s a big focus on how AI is used in real-world contexts, including creative industries, business decision-making, and emerging tech roles. You don’t need a hardcore computer science background either. Lots of students come from business, marketing, product, and creative degrees.

A couple of things students often mention as positives:

You get to build a portfolio of practical projects, which helps a lot with employability, especially if you're aiming for roles that sit between business and tech.

The industry connections at CCI are genuinely useful, with guest talks, collaborations, and networking events happening quite regularly.

Graduates go into a mix of roles, from data analyst/AI analyst positions to more hybrid roles like digital strategy, innovation, and tech-focused management pathways.

Since you mentioned employability, the AI space is huge right now, and people who understand both the business side and how AI works in practice are in a really strong position. A lot of students go into roles where they act as the translator between technical teams and business teams, which seems to be exactly where your interests sit.

If you want to get a feel for what the course covers day-to-day, you can check out the course page here.

And if you have any questions about studying postgrad at UAL, I can answer any questions you might have!

Hope this helps.

Hi @rueski, you've probably got a few ideas by now, but thought I’d drop this in for you and anyone else scrolling through who’s exploring AI pathways 🙂

UAL also has some AI postgrad options that could be worth a look too. They’re a little different from the classic business-AI courses - more creative, human-centred and hands-on. Courses like Msc Data Science & AI, Msc or MRes Creative Computing, or even Msc Applied Machine Learning for Creatives if you’re curious about how AI shows up in real-world creative/tech industries.

You might have chosen a certain direction already, but if you’re still exploring, it might be nice to compare these alongside the more business-focused routes, especially if you’re into the idea of something a bit more interdisciplinary.

Hope this helps!
