UX Research - UX Design: Target universities for FAANG/ IBs and HedgeFunds

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to pursue a degree in design and am currently on track to achieve 3 A*s at A-levels (with strong GCSE results as well). Does anyone know if companies like FAANG hire designers for graduate roles in the UK? If so, which universities are considered top choices for design - and target schools for these kind of companies? Also, I’m torn between studying graphic design / product design / Engineering design —what would be the better option for a career path in UX research / UX design?

Hi there!
I'm Charlotte, a year 2 Graphic Design student from Norwich Uni Arts. We actually have UX course, which you can read more about here: Norwich Uni Arts UX Design.

Within the first year of study, you will get to do a bit of Graphic Design, a bit of Graphic Communication, a bit of Design for Publishing and also a bit of UX Design... as then for your second year of study you can choose a specialism to finish your degree in. Personally, I joined the uni as a Graphic Design student and then stuck with it. However many I know applied as GD students and then switched to GC or DFP after the first year.

Hope this helps a bit, happy to answer any further questions!
