St Olave’s Entry 2025 sixth form

I didn’t do great on my mocks and as a result, I got lower predicted grades than I think I’ll actually get on my real exams. Currently my score is 75-76 with my predicted grades and I was wondering if this would be enough to get an offer considering I expect to achieve better? I may be able to increase my score to 77 or 78 but it would be quite difficult so I just wanted to know if it’s a must or ok enough currently. thanks for any advice in advance <3

in 2022, the lowest total point score was 74 and in 2023 the lowest total point score was 76. it doesn't clarify whether these are achieved or predicted but I'd assume they mean achieved. as far as I can see, predicted grades don't matter for an accepted application provided they're above the minimum requirements of 63 and stogs place much more importance on what you actually get. that being said, i'm not a student so I can't say anything for sure but I don't imagine you'll have much trouble with a 76 realistically.

To be honest, i’m still confused as to whether the thresholds apply for predicted or achieved grades. Also, where did you find these thresholds?

To be entirely honest, I plan to improve my grades by a lot before exam day so the only thing I’m worried about is getting my application accepted

thresholds were posted by st olave's on whatdotheyknow a few months ago. but honestly, i wouldn't overstress your predicted. 76 is still a good score and anything above that is realistically great. I don't think they reject applications because of low predicted grades (provided they're all above requirements) and it says on the form that "predicted grades don't form part of the offer making process" and "offers are made solely based on grades achieved". I think that's strong enough evidence to assume they don't care that much about predicteds. feel free to try and increase your score if it gives you peace of mind but even if nothing changes, I'd say you're a pretty good applicant.

76 should be enough. Naturally if you can increase it it’s better but from what I know being a student at the school knowing the competition it should be just fine

Yep, as a current student it’s all good. Lots of students take the train to school every day, and the grades seem fine
