Hi @Marksmanship,

As a first-year engineering student at King’s College London, there are plenty of exciting internships to consider. In the UK, companies like Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Arup, GSK, and Shell offer excellent placements in various engineering fields. For international opportunities with paid accommodation, IAESTE connects students to global roles, while Airbus, Bosch, Siemens, and Tesla offer placements in Europe and beyond. Platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Gradcracker are great for finding these opportunities, and Engineering Without Borders is ideal for humanitarian-focused projects. Good luck on your search.

Aren't the uni giving you ideas and support? Websites like 'rate my placement' have loads of opportunities.

Hi there,

When i was looking for placement opportunities all the ones recommended to me where automotive based - if you're interested in alternatives there are loads of options in the Nuclear sector which i enjoyed and the power sector in general. - and they tend to be well paid!

I found lots of options by searching for 'energy' and 'nuclear', on gradcracker.
Hope this helps
