LSE and extenuating circumstance resits

Hi guys

Applied for N200 Management at LSE, Warwick, Bristol, Notts, and International Management at UCL.

Last summer I achieved A B D in Bio, Chem, Maths respectively. I am resitting Chem and Maths with predicteds A*A

These results were in spite of genuine extenuating circumstances - I was a primary carer for my grandfather for over 2 years, and then subsequently dealt with the bereavement of both of my grandparents before exam season. These have been submitted to unis with relevant doctors letter and a supporting letter from my headteacher.

Given my predicteds and extenuating circumstances, do you think I even stand a chance at LSE? I haven't got my hopes up, but I've been told I have a chance, but given the D grade I feel as though I literally have no chance. Other than LSE, Warwick is my next best choice.
First of all, I am sorry for your loss, the fact you had the strength to sit your A Levels is admirable.

When it comes to LSE, they put a lot of emphasis on your personal statement, but whether they like it not, really depends. The assessing of your personal statement is also a highly subjective process, so it would be difficult for anyone here to tell you you'll get in or not.

All you can hope they're like it and understand your circumstances, but that is not guaranteed unfortunately.

I wish you the best and good luck.

Thank you. I did work with this in mind - invested many hours into my PS for the sole purpose that I won't be able to kick myself if I don't get in. I tried my hardest

LSE accepts resits and they also take extenuating circumstances into account so you’ll be fine

I know they consider Ext Circumstances - I just worry the D grade will instantly render my application declined because there are people applying with extenuating circumstances who also have better grades.

Hey I applied for LSE grades ABB , I went through bereavement which had major impact on my education and I filled the extenuating circumstances form . Would they consider my application ?

If your resitting it should be fine plus they take your personal statement into consideration as well even if people have higher grades
