UKMT intermediate on the 29th of JAN and IDK HOW TO REVISE

This is the first time I'm doing the UK intermediate maths challenge, and I'm so scared because I really want to get at least silver. I've tried past papers from the past five years, and my scores fluctuate. I got bronze twice, silver twice, and gold once, so as you can see, the scores aren't really accurate for me.
Does anyone know any topics that are important to look at or places I can do exam-style papers

Theres no harm in aiming for something like a silver, but its not that big a deal. But past papers are on ukmt and drfrost and mathsaurus has some info on youtube. The extended solutions on the ukmt site are worth looking at as they have extra questions for the ones you couldnt do/get wrong and drfrost has online question/answers.

Maybe just do a couple of papers "open book" and see what you learn about doing questions, different ways if possible.

Oh wow that's so good , most of the people (including me) at my school don't even bother to revise lol as it is something you HAVE to do in set 1 maths. It's not that bad just remember to not put the answer in unless you are sure about it or marks will be revoved...learnt that the hard way :frown:

Questions 1-15 are worth 5 marks each which means that if you do them all and get full marks, you've already got 75 marks, which is definitely a silver, so that's my advice: do the questions 1-15 in roughly 40 mins, and then you have 20 mins to attempt the last questions. For 16-20 you lose 1 mark if you get it wrong, and 21-25 you lose 2 if you get it wrong, so only put an answer if you're pretty sure of it!

Check out mathsaurus by Kevin Olding and also his youtube channel. He gives some info on the UKMT and also some general tips!

I wish you the best of luck

P.S. I'm aiming for gold I think the grade boundaries with by 70-75/80

My predicted grade boundaries:

Bronze: 45-55
Silver: 55-68
Gold: 68-80
Grey: 68-75
Pink: 76-85
Cayley: 90-100
Hamilton:100-106/7
Maclaurin:108+
