Awww tyyyyyy,

Ok so if u look online type in gcse french vocab book then u get all the words ur exam board expects u to know for the gcse so highlight the ones u don’t know and when ur doing writing have the vocab book in front of u and try make phrases that you’ll remember for the acc exam.

Also u need to include ALL these tenses: past present future and conditional for 7-9

And u should use idioms only one or two max in your writing or speaking eg c’est le pied (means it’s the best or awesome), and casse pieds (means a pain in the neck or like annoying)

Speaking you have to mock the french accent trust me my accent is acc good and try to not hesitate bcs u get marked down on it.

You're an absolute legend! This is great, thanks. However, I was wondering if you could show me how to do the past, present, future and conditional tenses? I am only familiar with some of it, hehe. Even an example for each tense would be much appreciated! Also, how did you replicate the accent? Did you listen to real French people speaking French and try to imitate? Thanks again :smile:

je joue = i play in the present
j'ai joue = i played in the past (as in i have played, make sure the last letter has an accent or u lose a mark)
je jouerai = i will play in the future
je jouerais = i would play in the conditional
remember different pronouns have different endings for the future and conditional and there are irregulars so uhm yh better get started ig

HIIIIII HERES MY NOTES FOR ALL THE GRALLER EXCEPT THE SUBJUNCTIVE BCS IT ACN BE A BIT COMPLICATED SO I ADVISE YOU ASK YOUR TEACHER ABOUT THAT ONE, THIS IS BASICALLY HOW I REVISED THE GRAMMAR I WROTE THESE NOTES ON FLASHCARDS AND PICKED AN INFINITIVE ON A SPINNING WHELE THING THEN I WOULD PICK UP A FLASHCARD THAT SAID THE TENSE AND I HAD TO WRITE ALL OF THEM CORRECTLY TEH INES I DIDNT KNOW I WROTE THEM DOWN AND CAME BACK TO THEM TRYING TO USE THEM IN MY WRITING PRACTICE WHICH I GOT MARKED BY MY HEAD OF FRENCH (WHO’S ACC FRENCH). J TRIED TO WEITE IT NEATLY INACSE YOU NEED TO COPY AND PASTE IT, SORRY IF ANYTHING AUTOCORRECTED WRONG xx

Present tense (Le présent)

Remove -ER and add

Perfect Tense (Passé Composé)

AVOIR/ ÊTRE (in present) + PAST PARTICIPLE
Most verbs use “avoir” (Eg j’ai mangé = I ate)
“ÊTRE” is used for MRS VANDERTRAMP verbs and reflexives (Eg je suis allé = I went)

Past participles:
-ER → é (manger → mangé)
-IR → i (finir → fini)
-RE → u (vendre → vendu)

Imperfect Tense (Imparfait)
For repeated past actions

Take the “nous” form of the verb, remove “-ons” and add these endings
je -ais
tu -ais
il/elle/on -ait
nous -ions
vous -iez
ils/elles -aient

Example: “parler” (to speak) = je parlais (I was speaking / I used to speak)

Future Tense (Futur Simple)
“will” sentences
INFINITIVE+ENDINGS
je -ai
tu -as
il/elle/on -a
nous -ons
vous -ez
ils/elles -ont

Eg
“manger” (to eat) = je mangerai (I will eat)

❗️Some verbs have irregular stems though “avoir”= j’aurai, “être”= je serai.

Near Future (Futur Proche)
“Going to” sentences (actions happening soon)

“ALLER” (present) + INFINITIVE:

Conditional (Conditionnel)
