University of Birmingham law?

I’ve received all 5 offers but i got an offer from UoB and UoN but leaning towards UoB for law. I didn’t attend any open days and just wondering what UoB is like to anyone that perhaps has been there? what is it like for employability afterwards, the general course, nightlife ect. I would be a home student. Is UoB seen as a good university for law?

all you had to have consistent results even if you did good on the recent ones they said it could be an anomaly if not consistent throughout. We had mocks in October to determine our final grades

We did October mocks with invigilators. I study economics politics and history, in the october mock i got A*AB but it was averaged at AAA as normally i get an A in politics not an A* and i normally get an A in economics not a B

Okay . I’m just looking for an argument to increase it maybe . I got B ,B in my assement and then a D in my mock (January one recent one) Then A and A and A for politics in as levels in yr 12. They predicted me a B but UOB wants an A .Do you think that is fair? because I am going to make my parents involve hopefully before ucas deadline. What grade do you think it’s fine?

if ive read it right you have BBB? I would apply for A2B if the deadline is still open because even though my predicted is AAA they have given me an offer for ABB, and i have a friend who is predicted BBB and jas got an offer for AAA, if your personal statement is good and your references from your teachers i believe you will be okay but ofc it would be great to have a higher predicted but i think you are definitely still in with a chance, do you have any extra curricular you have done? or anything that makes your application stand out more

I have done nothing and my PS is good okay. I can still argue and contact with them and my parents are going to get involved and I am just saying the grades I got right do you think it can maybe boost to an A like does it make sense based on my academic history I said above .

Congratulations on receiving all five offers - that is great! I am a student ambassador for UoB, and I am currently studying for my MA in Global Public Policy. Whilst I am not a law student, I can give you more information about the uni itself.

First off, UoB is pretty good for law. We're consistently in the Top 100 globally and Top 10 in the UK for getting grads into jobs. The Law School here is really well-connected with the legal world, which is super helpful for internships and networking.

As for the student life, it is great. There are many societies (like, over 500), so you'll definitely find your people. The nightlife in Birmingham is really good too - plenty of student-friendly spots both on and off campus.

We do have some open days coming up soon which are:

Friday 27 June 2025

Saturday 28 June 2025

Saturday 11 October 2025

Saturday 15 November 2025
