Glasgow School of art
Hello! I'm an applicant to the Glasgow school of art and just wondered about the relationship between the art school and the main university? I know that they're not part of the same administration at all. Can GSA students join Glasgow uni clubs & societies, and is there much overlap in terms of socialising? I really fell in love with the art school and the city but my only concern is not being able to connect with the wider student body in Glasgow outside of the art school, especially as the art school only has a few clubs. Thank you for any help!

From my experience as a student at Glasgow uni there is quite a bit of social cross-over. GSA students can join Glasgow Uni sports clubs and societies, and I have quite a few friends within the weightlifting club who are GSA students. I'm pretty sure you can also access both our student unions which is a great place to meet people, hangout or have a student night out!

From my experience as a student at Glasgow uni there is quite a bit of social cross-over. GSA students can join Glasgow Uni sports clubs and societies, and I have quite a few friends within the weightlifting club who are GSA students.
