Oxford rejection cope

Can anyone else just not stop thinking about their Oxford rejection, it’s almost been 2 weeks now and it’s constantly on my mind, how I messed things up and how much happier I’d be with an offer. It’s so unproductive for me to obsess over this but idk how to get over it. It also doesn’t help that I know people with offers. Plus they still haven’t given me feedback and I feel like I need a solid reason to move on, and I know it would be silly to reapply because the acceptance rate is so low but I just love the course content so much and I don’t get excited about studying other courses in the same way.

Hey. I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I got rejected from Oxford once a couple of years ago and it hurt like crazy because it had been my dream school for so long. It took me ages to start recovering from that, but I eventually did start recovering from it.

What other offers did you get? It might help to try and get excited about the other unis. Watch campus tours online, follow their meme pages on Instagram, look through their course programmes and imagine how far learning about those cool things could take you, speak to current students, look at school merch, etc.

Also, don’t get your hopes up regarding the application feedback. Sometimes they give very generic and uninformative feedback, which I think they shouldn’t do, but oh well.
