Anthropology: LSE or Edinburgh?

I’m an international postgraduate student interested in the anthropology of religion (Middle East focus) trying to decide between LSE (MSc in Social Anthropology: Religion in the Contemporary World), and Edinburgh (MSc in Social Anthropology) for a master’s degree. I’d love to hear about anyone’s experiences with these universities or programs!

Specifically, I’m curious about:
- Academic quality and faculty support.
- General reputation of these schools for anthropology.
- How welcoming they are to international students and student life in general.

Any insights, advice, or personal stories would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Both are fabulous universities. LSE edges Edinburgh for overall academic reputation, but Edinburgh is so much more beautiful as a city and uni. The complaint l hear a lot about LSE is that it is "too small". But they have bought or leased some impressive new buildings of late.

I don't know anything about Anthropology, but do check both universities out on YouTube.
