Hi Peter,

We can only discuss SFE finance. You would need to contact the NHS regarding Learner Support Fund.

its ok i have spoken the learner support fund now .For example with student finance payment i had on january 6/1/24 if i my course was to be cancelled due to ill health in febuary say i would be allowed 60 days grace due to hardship fund by university til next payment in april which technicaly means i would be covered until that point upto april with zero due back to yourselves ? am i correct and further student fiance cancelled including aprils payment just checking worse case if did happen?

If you suspend from your course, the university need to send us a change of circumstances to confirm this. Once received, we will then work out what you should have been paid for the length of time you attended. All future payments would be stopped. If you have been paid too much, this will be classed as an overpayment and need to be repaid straight away.

If your university tells us you suspend from your course due to health reasons, then we should be able to award 60 days extra finance. If you have an overpayment and you're awarded 60 extra days, we will take this off your overpayment to help reduce it. This means you wouldn't physically receive an extra payment.

Thanks,
Claire
