King's College London children's nursing

hi I've received an offer to study undergraduate children's nursing at KCL for 2025 entry and it was going to be my top choice but since then I've heard negative things about the uni and the nursing course. What is the workload like and is Kings a good choice to go to? I've also received offers from Southampton, Roehampton and Surrey. If anyone has any advice about the uni and nursing it would be helpful!

Hiya, I am on the same boat. I came across negative reviews about King’s College London and now I don’t know if it will remain in my top choice for adult nursing.

I heard that City, University of London is good and supportive. However, some of the previous nursing students I spoke with mentioned issues with the timetable and last minute classroom changes.

I presume every university has the good and bad. In my opinion, I guess it’s all about identifying the things which could be dealbreakers to you and decide on what you could compromise on, which is what I am doing because I don’t want choose a university, start and then be under so much stress over certain things which I could have avoided by making an informed choice.

Both KCL and UCL have a poor reputation for student support - and tend to cynically regard all undegrads as just ££ income. Remember, all Nursing courses at all Unis follow the same syllabus and give you exactly the same professional qualification.

The NHS is not going to care where you went to Uni - and neither will your future patients.
have a look at the best uni for children nursing in london , its currently kingston but have a look at this link : https://www.theguardian.com/education/ng-interactive/2024/sep/07/the-guardian-university-guide-2025-the-rankings

kingston is 11th in the country but 1st in london
I loved studying at KCL (I did the BSc children’s nursing course) but I started it in 2013 so obvs things may have changed!
