If you want to do DR, ring BCU admissions and ask if you can change your application to DR instead. Last year clearing places for DR at BCU went very quickly.

Do you meet the entry requirements for the DR course? Do you have shadowing experience in a DR department and public-facing work/volunteering experience? Also, why the change of heart from therapeutic radiography? Once you have a job, the work shifts are much better than those for DR.

im predicted MM so I guess not cuz they want D overall, no experience in DR but I have experience with the public, to be honest my overall goal is to become a monographer snd I think DR covers a whole lot on the tech side and diff areas whilst therapeutic radiography is just about cancers and theirs no lee way

Do you mean sonographer or mammographer? Sonography is very competitive to get in to, but is possible with experience after working as a DR, TR, nurse or midwife. For mamography, you would need to take a DR degree and then specialise.

hey! i’m in the exact same situation as you. i had my application changed from diagnostic to therapeutic radiography, however after researching the therapeutic course, i don’t mind doing the course. i still want to try clearing for diagnostic though. i am also curious about the interview process for therapeutic radiography as i have not seen anybody talk about it. i’m hoping to find any sort of advice on here.

The interview process will vary by uni. Where have you applied? (My DD chose TR and is very much enjoying the course.)

i’ve heard that the written exam is like basic interview questions so i might just prepare for it like a normal interview.
