Career, money and personal growth

This has been a big topic point recently… what is the best way for students to figure out their careers, manage money, and build confidence in our 20s?

School teaches us a lot, but not always the real-world stuff, like how to land the right job, build wealth, or stay motivated when life gets hard.

I’ve been speaking with career coaches, financial experts, and mindset specialists, and the advice they’ve shared is gives a lot to think about. But I’m curious, what do you wish schools would teach you now?

What advice would you want from mental, financial and career experts?
Hi @Bentley_B.

Thank you, your question is very interesting, and gives us opportunity to open our minds.

Me personally speaking, I would like schools teach us to stop judging each other and live with kindness without the need to gossip behind people's backs. I particularly found kindness a missing piece in our society. Also, we have not been taught how tap into our creativity and constantly being judged by the way we move, dance and speak (body language), which is the source of our uniqueness and creative power.

Of course we would need to be taught how to be more self-reliant in adulthood and not to rely on our employer to give us jobs too. So to be better able to provide for ourselves without limitation on the source of income.

Hope this gives you the answer.

Hi Lucie,

Thanks for sharing your perspective! I love your point about kindness being a missing piece in society—it really does make a huge difference, especially in schools. I also agree that tapping into creativity and self-reliance is essential, and schools could definitely do more to teach people how to create opportunities for ourselves rather than just waiting for a job.

Your thoughts on body language and movement are interesting, being more in tune with how we express ourselves physically could unlock a lot of potential.

Do you think experts like mindset coaches, life coaches, or movement therapists could help address these points and guide students toward practical solutions in these areas?
