Hi,

Congratulations on your offers!
If you want to connect with other people from Kingston there is usually Facebook groups you can join.

In terms of what criminology is like at Kingston, I don't personally study it but I do know you will be based at Penrhyn Road, which is like the main campus here at Kingston. It is just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Kingston, where there are lots of shops and places to eat. It is nice to go to a café and study or eat by the river. Lots of things are based at Penrhyn such as the student union, careers centre and the university gym. There is also a library, cafes and canteens.

I chose Kingston because of it's great location just 30 minutes from the centre of Kingston. I find there is always lots to do. Here are a few previous posts I have done that you may find useful

I hope this is helpful and if you have any questions about Kingston feel free to ask

Congrats on all your offers! I am a recent York graduate - I didn't study Criminology, but if you have any questions about student life at York, please send us a message! 🙂

i would look into the modules definitely! durham has a more sociological view approach and the others may be more psychological or law based so it depends what you’d rather! durham is ranked well for crim but ultimately itw where YOU see yourself happiest at and would enjoy the course!best of luck

Hiya,

Congrats on your offers!

I would say there are multiple things that need to be considered before you decide on your university:

the city

the modules offered

any additional years/options on your degree like study abroad or placement

study facilities

if it is a city or campus university

So the best thing that I can recommend is an open day. Sheffield has a few offer holder days that are upcoming so it would be good to sign onto them where you can speak to current student and academic staff while getting a good feel of student life.

Chat To Us - you can also use this feature on our website where you can talk to current/ recently graduated students that can answer more specific questions regarding your course.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have anymore questions about Sheffield or what student life is like
