IMG still trying to get a job.

Honestly this is half rant and also a concern.

I applied for F2 standalone, I fulfilled all the person specs but my application is unsuccessful.
I have lost hope honestly, I did 3 electives in the UK worth FY1 competencies. During my university years, I did research, audit and led leadership roles. I have applied for 200+ jobs which are my level and I still haven't gotten a positive response. Everyone I speak to says I am on the right track but it had been 15 months since my graduation. I feel hopeless.

Any help or guidance to ace this situation or atleast push me to one positive response would be amazing.

I'm in a similar situation as you, though it's just the beginning of my applications as I only recently got registered. I'm stressing every single day, can't sleep well, and just feel overall terrible because I'm so afraid. I've heard so many stories like yours recently, people who couldn't find a spot and I'm speechless because a lot of them also had nhs experience like you but still couldn't find positions for months. I have no nhs experience and I'm an img so this horrible thought of not making it in the end is killing me.

I've heard doing a clinical attachment in the UK can help a lot, so if you have the option you can go for that. But I myself don't have any financial ability to do that so it's of the tables for me.

Other than this I don't have anything else that might help, but I will say that you're definitely not alone, and we shouldn't lose ourselves and lose hope! 💪

Hi, omg it is the same. I am self funding myself and it is hard for me to navigate. I am trying for clinical attachment but even there, everything seems futile. I don't get any replies back. I dont understand how to progress anymore. God help us truly.
