Switching university choice after uni cant offer my course anymore

Hi all,
I originally applied to newcastle for computer science with industrial experience and they emailed me very late saying they cant offer my course anymore but i also have the option to switch unis by contacting them. I contacted them and they havent got back to me yet and im worried with the ucas deadline.
I dont know what i should do, should i call ucas or the uni or wait etc?
Its not very urgent as i have other offers id like but it would be nice to switch the uni instead of doing an alternate course there.

If it's within 14 days then you can self-service this on the UCAS hub.

If not, you need to be hot on the phone to UCAS now (especially if you want to pick a more competitive course). We're fast approaching the equal consideration deadline and the phone lines are going to start getting busy.

Given the situation Newcastle should offer to contact your new university directly and explain that it’s their fault that your substitution was delayed past the deadline.
All but the most competitive universities will have some leniency beyond the deadline particularly in that situation

Hi,

I also applied for the same course and the same thing happened to me. Did they withdraw your application entirely or did they just move you to the cs course without an industrial placement?
