Home fees UK nationals and their family members living in the EEA

I would like confirmation that the following also applies to non-UK citizen children of UK citizens (i.e. parent is British but child who will be a student is not) who have continuously resided in the EU since before Brexit.

Rules for England are stated below:

For courses starting between 1 August 2021 and 1 January 2028, UK nationals and their family members living in the EEA or Switzerland will generally be eligible for home fee status and tuition fee and maintenance loans if they meet the following conditions
they have lived in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK for at least the last three years;
they were living in the EEA or Switzerland on 31 December 2020;
they have lived continuously in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK between 31 December 2020 and the start of their course.
Hi Chaipet, what level of support would you be looking to apply for? Thanks, Stephen.
For to be eligible for full funding the UK National and the family member must have been:

resident in the UK, Gibraltar, European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland for 3 years prior to the first day of the first academic year of the course, and

resident in - the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland at the end of the Brexit transition period on 31st December 2020

or; - resident in the UK at the end of the Brexit transition period on 31st December 2020 and were resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland immediately before moving to the UK on or after 1st January 2018.

Thanks, Stephen.

Thank you Stephen, so to clarify, the student who has lived consistently in France since before 2020 would be eligible for 1) UK home fees for England and 2) potentially UK loans? Thank you very much.
Hi Chaipet, for a Non-UK National Family Member of a UK National only Tuition Fees would be available.

For the student to be eligible for EU funding they must:

be the family member of a UK National

have been resident in the UK and Islands for 3 years prior to the first day of the first academic year of the course

have a valid status in the UK.

Thanks, Stephen
