Marine Geography at Cardiff University/ Marine Biology at Southampton

I've gotten an offer for BSc Marine Geography at Cardiff and will probably be my firm choice. Could anyone with experience on the course give me a brief overview of its aspects and career pathways? I like the focused marine aspect of the second year but query the broad first year that's shared with other earth sciences.
I've also gotten an offer for BSc Marine Biology at Southampton, if anyone could give some insight in how biological the course is and the practical skills.
Thanks

Hi there,

So glad to hear that Cardiff is your first choice, I'm a student here and love it.
In my undergraduate I did human geography, but yes I do know that first year in earth sciences tends to have a chemistry/science based foundation. In terms of career pathways, the course page mentions careers in: conservation and marine management, as an environmental consultant or marine geospatial analyst.
I love Cardiff Uni and being a student here, if you have any questions please let me know.
