Physician Associate Course

I’m planning on studying physician associate course and wanted to know which universities are best for this course especially those in or close to the greater Manchester area.

None . Don’t apply for this course . There’s no role for them in general practice , RCP are restricting their scope in secondary care and there are no jobs . PAs who qualified in 2024 still can’t find work .

2023 here unemployed. regret taking the useless course. darn HEIW and funding. government support to fool public

There are jobs - There are literally hundreds employed by our trust and they are recruiting more.
I believe things will only get better when the GMC iron out any issues with regulation.

Don’t lie to people . How many jobs are on nhs jobs ?
Only 159 PAs have registered with the GMC so far . All PAs have been invited . They don’t have to register until Dec 2026 . How is this safe for patients ?

I did not apply for GMC because I am unemployed. I will register when and if I get a job!!!

What are the chances of you getting a job Compared to 2 or 3 yrs ago ? GMC are now recruiting international PAs to add into the mix too ! The whole thing is a mess . You need better leaders than Stephen Nash to get you out of this catastrophe.

We unemployed need to submit a letter to education minister for providing jobs , forcing health boards to take up more PAs. After all, it was government idea . Nash is working on employing those who lost jobs. That’s not helping newly qualified.
