Medicine at Oxford

Hi ,

I saw many people with all 9s and A* in A levels get rejected from Oxford and even other less prestigious universities like bath, Warwick. The reason being , there are many others with the same grades . So what really sets a student apart from the rest and makes them an ideal candidate? Also best and most impressive volunteering? Is volunteering at a hospice / care house or pet shelter enough for medicine?
Also what personal statement structure would you recommend ? How can a become a candidate they just can’t reject and forget. ( I am in yr 11 and willing to go many extra miles to achieve this )

There are NO less prestigious universities for Medicine; all degrees are equivalent.

I agree but I was talking about generally prestigious unis . Either way Oxford has better facilities and quality of teaching than other smaller unis.

If it categorically has better quality of teaching, why does Oxford not release its student satisfaction rates? Even Cambridge has released student satisfaction rates for this subject, putting Cambridge in joint 23rd place for it. My old university Leicester currently has the highest student satisfaction rates for Medicine and is joint 4th for research quality whereas Oxford is 8th for research quality.
