Best option for a costume design course

I have sent off applications for costume design courses from my chosen universities and received 5/5 offers so now i'm at the stage of choosing my main choice and I'm struggling. I keep seeing videos and tabs of why x university is bad, ect ect and now i'm stuck.

my choices are UAL, NTU, Edinburgh, Falmouth, and Plymouth

I want a good mix of course structure, connections, employment, accom and city life and they all have good aspects in different department so wanted to get some opinions to maybe narrow my choices down.

Hey I was just wondering how long it took for Edinburgh & UAL to get back to you after you submitted your portfolio? I feel like I’ve been waiting forever

Hi @HBk3r,

It's great to see you're considering Costume Design and Construction at NTU!

We know it can be a stressful when making your firm and insurance choices, but rest assured that you have plenty of time. You'll likely need to submit your choices by the 5th June, and I would recommend using this time to attend any open events to help narrow your choices and get a feel for the universities you've applied to. We have Open Days upcoming on Saturday 8 March 2025 and Saturday 26 April 2025. I know our staff and students would be happy to help with any questions should you wish to visit!

In the meantime if you have any questions about NTU, feel free to get in touch!

Is there a reason that you didn’t apply for the university that won a queen’s anniversary award for their costume course?

Hi! I am in the same situation has anyone given you any advice thats helped? Right now I am leaning towards NTU purely as they seem to have a better student life and student support but other unis like UAL seem to have better industry links
