Uni of Manchester Biochemsitry with a Modern Language

I have an offer for biochemistry with french at uom for September and I was wondering if anyone here does that course and can answer some questions about the year abroad. There isn’t much info online. I think that you do a research project at a partner uni in your language of study. Do you also take classes at this uni? Is your research work paid? Is it beneficial work experience or would I be better off doing biochem with year in industry and trying to get a placement in France? Thanks😊
